The fine print

Privacy policy

We collect only the information needed to run the KemTek Kelowna Open 2026 silent auction fairly and contact successful bidders.

What we collect

When you sign in, we store your name and phone number. When you bid, we store the item, amount, date, and time of your bid. If you enable outbid notifications, we also store the anonymous push subscription supplied by your browser for this device. Your full first name and the initials of any subsequent names, along with the bid amount and time, are displayed publicly on the relevant item page. Your phone number and push subscription are not displayed publicly.

How we use it

We use this information to administer the auction, maintain an accurate bid history, identify winning bidders, contact them after the auction, and send enabled outbid notifications. By signing in and bidding, you acknowledge that your information will be stored and that your name will be displayed with your bids.

How long we keep it

Auction data is retained no longer than reasonably necessary to run and reconcile the auction, distribute items, meet any applicable record-keeping obligations, and resolve disputes. It is then securely deleted or anonymized.

Your choices

If you have questions about your information or want to request correction or deletion after the auction, contact the tournament organizers. Placed bids cannot be withdrawn by bidders while the auction is running.
